"Achieving Our Best Together"

Our purpose is to prepare children for a future that we cannot yet envisage. To this end, we provide a safe and happy yet challenging and aspirational learning environment and a curriculum which supports all children in developing high moral standards, ambition and an enjoyment of learning. The acquisition of basic skills is a platform for developing successful learners who are creative and independent. This will allow our children to apply themselves to whatever challenges the future has to bring, and equip them with a growing appreciation of the important part that they will play in the world around them.

 Our Curriculum aims:

to enable all young people to become successful learners who make progress and achieve

to become confident individuals who lead safe and healthy lives

to develop responsible citizens who make a positive contribution to society.

should be broad and balanced to meet the  needs of all our children irrespective of

gender, ability, ethnic or cultural origins.

Our priority at Widey Court is to develop individuals who are prepared for life in the 21st Century through a curriculum that:

provides for the development of functional skills in literacy, numeracy and ICT

together with personal, learning and thinking skills

ensures the acquisition of knowledge, skills and understanding which help them to make sense of the world

encourages personal development through the building of positive attitudes and

 disposition towards successful learning

evolves in response to future changes.
