Red, White & Blue Day/March a Mile - Friday 21 October 2016

Thank you everybody who supported our fantastic Red, White & Blue/March a Mile Day.

It was amazing to see everybody marching with their children on the school field.  We raised £446.18 for the three charities, ABF The Soldiers Charity, Royal Naval Royal Marines Charity and the RAF Benevolent Fund which is fantastic!!

I would also like to thank all those who raised sponsorship money for marching a mile.  We raised a fantastic £640 for Devonport Field Gun Association.  We will be presenting this money to them in the very near future and hope that this will help them to continue to raise the profile of Junior Field Gun in schools.

Service Family Christmas Party - Crownhill Family Centre, 4pm - 6pm, Tuesday December 6th

Our Christmas party was a huge success this year and enjoyed by everybody.  We had the usual party food and entertainment was provided by Wishy Washy who was absolutely fantastic!  Around 100 people attended which is fantastic and we even had a little Christmas raffle.7

Thank you to everybody who attended for making it amazing and also to those who helped.  I'm looking forward to this year's.

School Field Gun Competition - Sunday 26 June 2016, Plymouth Hoe

We had an absolutely amazing time on Plymouth Hoe on Sunday 26 June for the Junior Field Gun Competition.

9 schools took part and we came joint 2nd which was amazing as we have only been practising for a short time.

Thank you to all the children and parents for their commitment - we can't wait for next year!!

If your child is in Years 4, 5 or 6 in September and would like to join the Field Gun Club, please ask them to contact Sarah Maiden in school.

Letters will be coming out shortly inviting your child to take part.  Our field gun club will start up after February half term, date to be confirmed.

We are hoping to do a small inter-school practice session at Widey Court on Thursday 18 May after school and a full day practice at Crownhill Fort on Sunday 23 April.  We will be building up to the big even on Plymouth Hoe for armed forces weekend - date to be confirmed.
