Connect Academy Trust

We're proud to be part of this established and growing Multi-Academy Trust in Devon. Everything they do is for the good of all of our pupils and staff.

Crownhill Networking Group

Our local community group that brings our school together with local residents, businesses, and organisations.

High 5 Sports Camps

Pupils, parents and staff have all benefitted from our partnership with High 5. They provide our pupils with the chance to find a love for sports through creative challenges and all sorts of outdoor activities.

Parent Teacher and Friends Association (PTFA)

Our PTFA brings parents closer to Widey Court so that they can support the education and well-being of all pupils by organising fundraising events and volunteering opportunities.

Plymouth Argyle Football Club

We partner with Plymouth Argyle to give our pupils opportunities around engaging physical activity events, promote teamwork and encourage a stronger community in Plymouth.

Plymouth School Sports Partnership (PSSP)

Helping our school achieve more in PE and sport, and promoting mental and physical wellbeing for our children.

Trauma Informed School (TIS)

A training and consultancy organisation that provides support for Manadon to develop a trauma-informed approach to education, benefiting both our pupils and staff.

University of Plymouth

Being part of the university gives our children the opportunities to visit inspiring facilities, engage with their educational resources and become part of some of their amazing outreach progammes.

YMCA

YMCA brings us closer to our local community by providing support and services to our pupils, families and staff to promote a healthy well-being.

Young Voices

Young Voices bring together around 6000 children to promoting the benefits of singing and music education for young people across the UK.

The children are all so lovely and the teachers have been very welcoming. I am in admiration of everything they have to do!

School Reader Volunteer

There are many joys about being a student at Widey Court- the staff, fellow students, the Widey buildings and the surroundings. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and show compassion and care in the work they do. We have an amazing outside space which is used on many occasions. Here at Widey Court, the students show respect and help others.

Year 6 Head Girl

We bring the staff, children and families together at our half termly events to enjoy some great activities. We’d like to think that Widey Court is a community and whether it’s a Halloween Disco, Christmas Fayre, Summer Fayre or an Easter Egg Hunt, we can offer cheap social and family activities whilst raising money for our school with the help of all our amazing volunteers. Widey offers that extra sparkle to any event and the children’s smiley faces are a testament to that!

PTFA Committee

Being a part of Widey Court Primary School is so wholesome & rewarding; it really is like having an extended family. Everybody is so friendly, warm & caring, & I go home every day with a full heart.

Staff member and ex-parent

Christmas in my industry is where people are clinging on for dear life, just looking forward to the turkey. Teachers seem to step into the next gear! You and your staff seem to be at every school play, Christmas carol concert and choir event. If the event itself is not out of hours, and most seem to be, then I am sure the endless planning certainly was. As a parent I have loved each event I have been to and they are super uplifting but it is plain to see all the hard work that goes in. Thanks to everyone at Widey, as a parent and as a governor, it is very much appreciated.
