Connect Academy Trust Covid-19 Notice to all Visitors and Suppliers

Our schools are minimising the number of visitors they receive, as well as the amount of time visitors spend on the school premises, during the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic. This will help to minimise group mixing and make it easier to maintain social distancing in school.

We expect all visitors to: 1. only visit the school premises if absolutely necessary. Please phone instead, request a call or request an online meeting if possible. 2. not enter the premises if you or any members of your household have symptoms of coronavirus. 3. clean your hands with alcohol gel (provided) when you enter and leave the building. 4. follow the same procedures as those in place for staff, ie social distancing (2m), avoid touching surfaces and do not enter areas of the school without the permission of staff.

Thank you for your support in keeping our pupils, staff and families safe.

One Ocean, One Climate, One Future – Together

If you are isolating over the last few days of term, please contact your child's class teacher so that they can share appropriate activities from our planning for our Widey Ocean Days being carried out in school. In Year 4, these will be linked to the book: Duffy's Lucky Escape

You might also like to read: Marli's Tangled Tale

You can also access any additional home learning tasks on the home learning pages: increasing your word count by completing an AR quiz, reading a range of books on MyOn, ensuring you can read and spell as many Y3/4 words as possible or (if you've achieved all these) starting to read and understand the Y5/ 6 words and developing your times table skills on TTRS or through

Well done with all your home learning- we are very proud of you all and I've loved hearing today's jokes ready for our laughter kits: they are going to make us grin from ear to earlaugh! I'm pleased no one made me answer Niamh's joke about bees live on TEAMS wink

Good morning Barton Hall Bubble 9/07/21smiley

Most of you have already checked your emails and some of you attended yesterday's wellbeing check. Please check your emails for your home learning timetable and daily TEAMS sessions.

Due to being part way through the week and two classes being out, there are two home learning timetables. As our timetables are slightly different in school, to avoid confusion Miss Crane has emailed Badgers and will be working with you on Teams, I have emailed Otters and will be working with you. Only one more week to go of isolation. If there are any questions from either group, please email me (Mrs Jones) and I'll be there to help or find someone who can.

Parents of Barton Hall children in Badger and Otter. 8/7/21Due to being part way through a week and the  late night message about not attending school while we await further guidance, please spend this morning completing any home learning tasks, working on your times tables (possibly using, of trying to up your score on TTRS)  and continuing to read or reread the book that you will be writing your review about. The maths tasks for the week can be completed and I'll add on the maths worksheets now. However, I will do a lesson on this tomorrow if you are unsure as we'd only just started this topic (symmetry) yesterday and some of the children might need a bit more support before they start.

We completely understand that you will probably need to spend today arranging child care and working from home again. This morning, the children would have been outside (after break) supporting and cheering on Fox class in their sports day races- as Badger and Otter class did last Thursday. This afternoon the children would be having ICT and Games.

Thank you for your support and understanding, please contact me if you need any additional home learning today, Mrs Jones
