  • A Statement from Widey Court on the Death of her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II

    As a school community, we are deeply saddened by the news of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth's death and join the nation and the world in mourning the loss of our Sovereign.

     

    Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II will be remembered and admired for her grace, dignity, and dedication around the world. She taught us to accept everyone and promote peace in an ever-changing world.

    She was more than a monarch. She defined an era.

     

    Queen Elizabeth II led with grace and an unwavering commitment to duty. She endured the dangers and deprivations of a world war and rallied us during the devastation of a global pandemic to look to better days ahead. She was a shining example to us all.

     

    Our thoughts are with her family during this sad time.
